Terms of use
Last updated: October 24, 2026
1. Purpose
These terms govern the use of the Fishbonbon game ("the Game") for iPhone and iPad, distributed free of charge on the App Store, and of the website fishbonbon.shader.be. Downloading or using the Game means accepting these terms, as well as Apple's App Store Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
2. Publisher
Fishbonbon is published by FastoData. Contact: fishbonbon@shader.be.
3. Description of the Game
Fishbonbon is a virtual aquarium game: the user cares for imaginary fish, decorates their aquarium, hatches eggs and completes an album. It has no account, no in-app purchases, no subscription, no advertising and no online features. In-game pearls are a fictional currency with no real value, which cannot be bought, exchanged or refunded.
4. A game, not a fishkeeping guide
The fish, their needs and their behaviors are imaginary and simplified for the game. They are neither information nor advice on keeping a real aquarium or real animals, which require knowledge and care adapted to each species.
5. Use by children
The Game is suitable for children. Its installation, use and playing time by a child are at the discretion and under the supervision of their parents or the responsible adult (the device has its own Screen Time settings).
6. Game provided "as is"
The Game is provided free of charge, "as is", without any guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free operation, compatibility with a particular device or iOS version, or future availability, updates or continued presence on the App Store. The publisher may modify, suspend or withdraw the Game at any time.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the publisher shall not be liable for:
- the way the Game is used and for how long;
- indirect damages, such as the loss of the aquarium, fish or pearls, in particular after deleting the app, changing or resetting the device;
- damage caused to or by the device, or resulting from use not in line with the manufacturer's recommendations;
- malfunctions related to the operating system, the App Store or any third-party service.
As the Game is free, the publisher's liability, should it be incurred, is limited to the amount paid for the Game, i.e. zero. These limitations do not apply where the law prohibits limiting liability, in particular in case of gross negligence or willful misconduct, or personal injury caused by the publisher, and do not deprive consumers of their mandatory legal rights.
8. Intellectual property
The Game, its images, 3D models, characters, texts and code are protected. They are made available for personal and family use; any reproduction or distribution outside this scope requires the publisher's consent. Reverse engineering and decompilation are prohibited, except within the limits allowed by law. The Fredoka font used on this site is licensed under the SIL Open Font License.
9. Personal data
The Game collects no data. See the privacy policy.
10. Changes
These terms may change. The version in force is the one published on this page, with its update date.
11. Severability
If any clause of these terms is held void or unenforceable, it shall be deemed unwritten without affecting the validity of the other clauses, and replaced by the valid clause closest to its intent.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. In case of dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first by writing to fishbonbon@shader.be. Consumers may also use a consumer mediator free of charge. Failing agreement, the competent courts are those designated by law; consumers keep the protection of the mandatory rules of their country of residence.
